M&T Bank Center is inviting the community to take part in a unique and meaningful experience this March. Instead of skating across the rink, participants will have the rare opportunity to step onto the ice with a paintbrush in hand and leave behind messages of hope, remembrance, and support.
A Creative Way to Support an Important Cause
For one special evening, the ice at M&T Bank Center will transform into a canvas. Community members are encouraged to paint directly on the rink using real ice paint, creating messages and artwork that honor those affected by cancer. Whether you write a name, draw a symbol of support, or simply share words of encouragement, every mark contributes to a larger display of community strength.
All supplies, including paint and brushes, will be provided. Participants simply need to bring their creativity and willingness to take part in something meaningful.
Your Artwork Becomes Part of the Ice
Once the painting is complete, M&T Bank Center team will seal the artwork directly into the ice. This ensures that every message remains visible throughout the final week of the ice season, serving as a powerful reminder of the community’s support and compassion.
Supporting Brain Cancer Research
A $10 donation is requested to participate in the event. Donations and proceeds will support the upcoming Stick It to Brain Cancer Tournament, which raises funds for research and treatment of brain cancer and tumors at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
The tournament, taking place March 19–22, brings together players, families, and supporters who share the same goal: advancing research and improving treatment options for those facing brain cancer.
